About meI am a Banting postdoctoral fellow in mountain hydrology at Utrecht University in the Department of Physical Geography with Professor Walter Immerzeel. I was previously conducting my doctoral research with Professor John Pomeroy at the University of Saskatchewan, in Canmore. I am splitting my time between Utrecht, NL, and Canmore, CA.
My academic work focuses on understanding how mountain catchments, specifically ones with glaciers, are changing in a warming climate and how that affects our water supply. To hear more about my Ph.D. work, check out this little book I made about it. I am also the president of Girls* on Ice Canada, a tuition-free wilderness summer program that interweaves science, art and adventure to inspire leadership, curiosity and confidence in the next generation of leader. I am always eager for more changes to share about the relevance of mountain hydrology for society, the urgency of climate change and the beauty of mountain landscapes. When not organizing fieldwork, analyzing data or writing, I can be found exploring the surrounding mountains trail running, climbing or skiing! |
